We, at the Midwest Masonry Council, are pleased to welcome you and/or your professional firm/association. We exist to educate and increase the understanding and use of Masonry Products in all of their forms. We extend across the product manufacturing, supply and installation boundaries and work diligently to meet and exceed the expectations set forth, to increase the masonry market share and look forward to this learning experience with great enthusiasm in your participation.
Todd is a registered architect, an AIA member, and holds an NCARB certification. He is also a LEED® Accredited Professional and a member of the U. S. Green Building Council. Todd earned his Professional Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Kansas at Lawrence in 1988 and practiced in Texas until moving to Indiana in 2003. Prior to joining the ILI, he worked for an Indianapolis based Commercial Construction and Development Company in executive management and business development.
As Executive Director, Todd is responsible for the management of this trade association which represents quarries, fabricators, masons, designers, and associate members. In this role he is actively involved in the promotion of Indiana Limestone by way of industry trade shows, providing technical support to fabricators, masons, designers, & building owners. He is also continually working to expand on the availability of digital technical information, case studies, & historical documentation to reach the broadest possible audience.
Throughout his tenure, Todd has been actively involved in the development of sustainability standards for the extraction and production of natural stone products.

Joe has 20+ years of experience in the masonry industry. During his career, he worked as a journeyman, where he began his climb up the career ladder. Running work as a Masonry Foreman and then Superintendent. He continued his career when he moved to his position as Indianapolis Masonry Instructor for the Apprenticeship Program graduating many journey persons under his tutelage. He continues to provide technical services as the Director of Industry Development and Technical Services with the International Masonry Institute as well as the Indiana/Kentucky Structural Masonry Coalition where he lends his knowledge across Indiana and beyond.Joe has 20+ years of experience in the masonry industry. Amy Gobeille is the architectural sales representative in Indianapolis, IN for Oldcastle APG- Great Lakes. Oldcastle APG- Great Lakes is a local manufacturer of CMU, Hardscapes, and Retaining Wall products. With 7 years of masonry sales experience representing Echelon masonry products, Amy’s focus is on specification of products in IN, OH, and KY. Formerly in masonry contractor sales, she is now sharing her job site knowledge with architects, designers, and anyone interested in learning more about masonry. She resides in Indianapolis, IN with her husband, Kyle, and dog, Bogey.
Harrison McBride represents the Triangle Brick Company in 11 states across the Midwest region. Harrison has over 12 years of experience in the construction and manufacturing industries. His career began as a lab technician for MMC Materials, a subsidiary of the Dunn Investment Company, while also attaining a degree in Business Marketing and Management. Branching out from ready-mix, Harrison moved into the world of corrugated packaging manufacturing by joining the team at Rusken Packaging. Working in purchasing, production scheduling, and sales, Harrison was able to learn the ins and outs of a high-volume production facility. Taking these learned skills with him, Harrison returned to the construction industry as Sales Coordinator for Cemex Inc in the packaged mortar division. After relocating to Kentucky, Harrison joined the family at Triangle Brick and is serving the Midwest with high quality masonry products.

Steve Ratliff is a dedicated Sales Representative for County Materials Corporation, specializing in masonry and hardscape solutions across Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, and Tennessee with a strong background in relationships and growing product presence in markets, Steve plays a key role in expanding County Materials footprint throughout the region. Steve is also actively involved in identifying emerging product trends through R&D initiatives, helping ensure that County Materials continues to offer innovative systems aligned with modern architectural needs.
Matt Started in Masonry Sales in 2002 working in distribution until August of 2021. In 2021 he took his current position at Custom Cast Stone. Having sold the product for 8 years, he is now expanding his knowledge in the manufacturing process. He still calls on architects, designers and contractors assisting in color samples and masonry design suggestions. He also oversees distributors in 30 states but focuses primarily in Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, and Ohio. He has been on the steering committee for Midwest Masonry Council since 2014 and volunteers at educational events like this around the state. He is a certified speaker for the Cast Stone Institute on this and, soon to be, more topics on cast stone
Scott Walkowicz, PE, is the owner of Walkowicz Consulting Engineers, Lansing, Michigan and is a former Owner and Structural Department Manager with a multi-discipline firm. He currently conducts structural engineering and investigative work for a variety of project types and structural systems. He also consults with other engineers as well as architects, contractors, and owners on behalf of several regional Masonry Coalitions. Scott is a recognized expert in structural masonry engineering and investigation. He holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Civil/Structural Engineering from Clemson University as well as a B.S. degree in Architecture from Lawrence Technological University.
Scott is a Past President of The Masonry Society (TMS) and is now serving as the Chairperson of the TMS 402/602 (Masonry Code/Specification) Committee where he and his team will lead revisions to the structural masonry code. Scott was recently elected as a Fellow Member of The Masonry Society and was the 2018 TMS Haller Award winner for enhancing masonry design practice. Scott is registered in multiple states and has analyzed and designed buildings across the country and overseas including many with unusual or creative uses of structural masonry.
Scott is the principal author of the Standard Practice for Bracing Masonry Walls Under Construction and the Internal Bracing Design Guide for Masonry Walls Under Construction.
Scott is a Past-President of The Masonry Society (TMS) and a member of the Main Committee, as well as the Design and the Reinforcement and Connectors Subcommittees for the TMS 402/602 Committee (formerly the Masonry Standards Joint Committee (MSJC) where is participates in revisions to the structural masonry code. He holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Civil/Structural Engineering from Clemson University (Clemson, SC) as well as a B.S. degree in Architecture from Lawrence Technological University (Southfield, MI).
